I drew this picture because it shows different symbols of the holy spirit like water, fire, wind, etc. This picture is a dove with the colors of fire and water, because they are the symbols of the holy spirit that really stand out for me.
Water stands out for me because we get baptized with water in the name of the holy spirit. Fire because it came down onto the disciples heads at Pentecost, and dove because it came down to Jesus when he got baptized.

What is the Trinity?

The trinity is three in one which is God,Jesus and the Holy Spirit all in one. The hand is for God,the bird/dove is for the holy spirit and the crown is for Jesus. This is a picture that I drew of the Trinity.

Science- Acids and Bases

In science we have been learning about acids and bases.
Some things we experimented with were liquids like dish washing liquid, coke, water and different types of other liquids.
We used a piece of paper and dipped it into the liquid to see If it was a acid or base. The difference between a acid and base is that a base accepts a proton and a acid donates. We could tell if it was a base or acid because the piece of paper would turn different colors like purple, green or red.

Anzac- Vietnam War

Vietnam war, where millions died and fought for their family and friends. Who fought with other men who have died in war.

Vietnam War

The Vietnam war started in November 1st, 1955 because during world war 2 the Japanese took over the Vietnam area. Once World war 2 ended the  Vietnamese revolutionary wanted freedom in the country. So they declared war. It went on for 19 years, 5 months, 4 weeks and 1 day and ended in April 30th,1975 which North Vietnam won.

9,087,000 men and women went to the Vietnam war and 58,220 died. 11,000 we're women and the rest were men. Most women were nurses but some were translators, flight controllers and military band leaders.
Most of the men were probably around the age of 20 when they went to war. Most men were forced to go to war, sometimes they would be dragged out of their house to go to war.

William White

For my project I have chosen William White who was actually born in New Zealand but then at a young age he moved to Australia to be a teacher which he did end up being. He was around his 20’s when he started teaching in Australia when one day the army started sending him letters that said he has to join them to go to the war. He refused to go and went home and hid from them when the next day he got dragged out from his own house by them so he went to war but didn't make it to the end.

So now you know how tough it was for men back then.We are so lucky now to be in a safe environment. Hopefully we can now be more thankful for what we get because if not think of those who fought in war.

Persecution In Somalia

  • If a Christian is discovered in Somalia they will probably be killed in right there where ever they are found.
  • The militant Islamist group has said that they want Somalia to be free of Christians.
  • Even if Christians had a Bible would it be safe for them to carry around everywhere.
  • In 1991 there were 150 people in Somalia and by the time by 1997 there were some only 4 people left in  Somalia.
  • They are planning to ban school bells because they said it sounds like church.
  • Right now there are more than 1,000 Christians and most of them live in the south where persecution is the strongest.
  • Church leaders are not the only people killed because of their belief. Last year Islamic militants went out and
killed women and children who were known to be Christian.

This is the only thing they can do right now.
Pray for them.
